Sorry. Wrong. The "keys of the kingdom of heaven" are indicative of Peter's authority. Totally biblical (and historical).

The verb in Matthew 16:19 is future tense.

And Yah'shua still has the keys in Revelation 1:18.

Of course it was. Peter didn't come into his authority until after Pentecost.
