If praise and worship is a public demonstration, then we have the example of the Pharisee standing at the front of the synagogue demonstrating how holy he was, as opposed to the humble sinner at the back.
It has nothing to do with that. This isn’t prayer and showing off in front of anyone to get attention. This is standing in awe of Him, singing, raising our hands in surrender to His awesome presence. It has nothing to do with what you are talking about. People in our church can worship any way they like Many do not raise their hands but sit or stand quietly, most singing, many don’t. It’s an individual thing, not anything forced. We started out as a Baptist church so it’s not a wildly charismatic church (I wish it were-lol) but very balanced. We have a good balance between the Word, praise, prayer, intercession, works, etc.
