I know hundreds of Mormon women. They do all kinds of different things and live all different kinds of lives.

This woman served as a leader in the Mormon church. She recently spoke to teenage girls worldwide. She encouraged them to stand up to peer pressure, strengthen their families and serve others. (Click here for more.)


None of the Mormon women I know look like this...

None of them are marrying off their teenage daughters and-- although some may joke about wanting a sister-wife (preferably one who is really fat & ugly, does bathrooms and changes diapers)--none of them really want to share their husband with anyone.

Furthermore...

Some Mormon guys can throw a ball...

Some Mormon guys yell at the ball...

Some Mormon guys make scary movies...

Some Mormon guys have a lot of money and really great hair...

I know hundreds of Mormon guys. They do all kinds of different things and live all kinds of different lives.

This is one of the leaders of the Mormon church. Last Sunday he spoke about honoring women, especially mothers, and gave advice to husbands and children about how to treat the women in their lives. (For the whole story, click here.)

The Mormon men I know are honest and hard-working. They don't cheat, smoke, drink or gamble. And TRUST ME....the last thing any of them want is another wife.

Don’t know. That is up to God. I don’t agree with their beliefs, and they are clearly not New Testament Christians. The belief that you can eventually become God is, to be blunt, blasphemy.

On the other hand, I don’t understand the hatred for Mormons. I lived next door to a Mormon family for several years. We went out to dinner with them often because our kids were the same age. Got to know them and a lot of their friends.

They were nice people. Not perfect - one couple had a bad marriage and the husband was a jerk. But no different than than any group of flawed, church-going Christians that I know - except the weird doctrine.

Some people on this thread clearly despise Mormons. God will judge them, but he will also judge those who hate them.

Do you know for sure that Plain and Precious truths have been removed from the Bible their are many manuscripts that still yet not accounted for that could come forth, that could shed a different light on this subject

Pappy was simply answering the charge.  Yes indeed there ARE Mormon men in chains and prison garb.  Are you suggesing there aren't any like the stupid person who wrote the article in the thread?

That fact remain there is a differents of being married for time and eternity and or just being sealed to someone which means those sealed only did NOT consummate on earth by Joseph Smith and Helen eternity!

So there was no 14 year old for time Joseph was only Sealed to her!

No, Joseph Smith did not kill anyone. Ever. He did wound 2 men before he was killed, but they didn't die, they went on to live long lives. I'll get you the reference.

Oh I found it. Howard William Hunter (November 14, 1907 – March 3, 1995) was the fourteenth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Clara May Jeffs. I wonder if that is one reason Rulon Jeffs was left free to do his multiple marraige thingy.

After Clara Jeffs died, Hunter was married for eternity to his second wife, Inis Stanton in 1990 while he president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

I just started reading this thread. Many LDS FReepers are said to be a very small handful with multiple names. It isn’t true, and to have the accusation that sevenbak and restornu are the same poster isn’t true. Because restornu had a 2nd FR handle several years ago, doesn’t mean that we all do. Or any of us do. And restornu was on probation for having a 2nd FR handle.

Where is the evidence that Clara May Jeffs was related to Rulon Jeffs? Where is your evidence that having the same last name of Jeffs meant the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the state leaders turned a blind eye to Rulon Jeffs because a future apostle and prophet of God’s had a wife who had the last name of a polygamist.
