Prayers up. My dad is going through the same thing. And it is beatable. There are two types, clear cell and papillary. Clear cell is easier to clear up that papillary. My dad has papillary and it has spread to lungs and ribs. He is currently undergoing treatment through M.D. Anderson in Houston and praise God ... his last two checkups have been good news. The main tumor has stopped growing, two others have shrunk and his blood test looked good too. He began his 2nd chemo treatment this week (2nd set of 6 week regimens) and hopefully things will continue to improve.

Dad has a friend in their town that the clear cell type with a soccer ball sized tumor on the kidney. It spread to his lungs, spine and brain. They removed the tumor, then concentrated on the brain with targeted radiation. Long story short ... he is cancer free.

But my dad still has a long road ahead, so I ask that you also pray for him while I pray for your friend Dennis. May God heal them both!

I believe that our modern medical technology is evidence of God’s creative nature echoing through His creation(Man) and a gift that shows us a way we might use our talents to give greater glory to God.

My Mother in Law has been battling cancer for several years, my cousin Kevin was recently diagnosed and now his wife Lane. I am starting a new Novena (St Josephs Prayer) today and I will include your dad and his friend in my intentions.
