The Didache is in grave Spiritual error by misappropriating the term "living water" to mean fresh, natural water instead of the Holy Spirit Himself.

This is something wonderfully consistent from you. You reject the Catholic Church, so why not reject the word of its earliest fathers: the Apostles themselves.

Still, I am staggered by the arrogance: the Apostles are wrong, but you are right?

LOL

QUADRUPLE GRRRRRRRR TO THE MAX

Ignorance of the Angel-Gal’s trek from arrogant selfishness personnafied to one of the most humble Christians I know or know of is no excuse.

You assert all manner of horrific UnBiblical nonsense in favor of TRADITIONS OF MEN rather chronically.

I find the flavor of most such assertions exceedingly saturated with arrogance to the max.

Purportedly the RC folks are gloriously sensitive—evidently out of the Magnificently Sensitive Magnificent Magical Earth-Mother Mary’s Supreme Sensitivity.

For all I know, RC folks may think the Mary caricature saturates millions of her hankies with her Magnificent Supreme Sensitivity and then dispenses them like prayer cloths to anoint the faithful with.

God Only Knows what the Magicsterical has cooked up in that regard.

In any case, Supposedly RC folks sooooooo purportedly wise about every nuance between pebble and rock; full and 99% full and 75% full of Grace . . . etc.

Should be more than sufficiently hyper sensitive enough to detect Angel-Gal’s profound humility.

That you don’t speaks libraries full about whatever sensitivity was claimed about Scripture, History, Daffynitions and the whole circus.

A train load of raspberries is about the most charitable thing I could respond with.

Don't believe me, believe God. Love Him. Trust Him.

The Didache is not authenticated by the Holy Spirit. It is not Scripture. It is the work of men, sometime between 40 and 200 A.D. It is to be respected, like other ancient manuscripts, but it is not authentic words of God.

That it misappropriated a descriptive Name of God, i.e. "living water" - in describing water baptism stands as evidence even for the logic-only mind that it is not authored by God.

Again, believe God, trust Him:

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. - John 4:10-14

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) – John 7:38-39

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, [and] hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. – Jeremiah 2:13

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. - Jeremiah 17:3

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. - Revelation 7:17

The baptism that is effectual to our new life in Christ is the baptism of the Holy Spirit as all four Gospels testify:

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. – John 1:33

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire: - Matthew 3:11

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. - Mark 1:8

John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: - Luke 3:16

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. – Acts 11:16

To God be the glory!
