As a Protestant who views communion as a symbolic time to remember Jesuss sacrifice (but not as the literal body or blood of Jesus), no, I dont agree with your answer. Instead, I view it as a Catholic doctrine (one of several) I dont view as being necessary for salvation. However, since I dont view it as a necessary belief in order to be saved, it doesnt really matter to me whether anyone holds that belief or not. I dont believe someone loses salvation because they hold that belief or they dont.
I view all Christians (whatever denomination) as being part of the body of Christ. And by Christian, I mean anyone who believes that Jesus was the Son of God who died for our sins and was resurrected and who commits their life to Him.
Threads like this just amaze me. Im shocked sometimes as to the number of people who view their church like a sect and not a denomination - you either hold to their specific version of Christianity or you are not a true Christian or a member of the true church.
My goodness. You have echoed my thoughts. Careful though, you might be evolving into one of those "shudder" Unitarians who see salvation possible for all. :)

(I am most likely a Biblical Unitarian? Let me be perfectly clear. I know nothing.)

I tell what it is for me. I grew up in one Protestant denomination and switched to a different denomination when I got married. It's pretty eye-opening.
