And yet we were able to discuss things politely and profitably.At any moment, I'm sure any of you could have dropped in the middle of a sentence a few choice words known to offend and thus poisoned the entire discourse, slamming the door on both "politely" and "profitably."

Well we had Religion Moderators Tutors who would come down hard on anyone who tried that. It happened only once in my time there. The perp left the college4 at the end of the semester.
