Great home page, BTW.

Love those forests in No. CA. Incredible. would have greatly enjoyed growing up in them.

No Big Foot sightings??? LOL.

Where do your kids serve as missionaries. Any in Taiwan or China? And for how long on the field?

If they served in Taiwan or China with the So Bap Mission Board 15 years ago, I knew their boss well.

I love the KJV and old hymns as well.

But I also know that the KJV has flaws and none of our translations are 100% accurate to the original autographs in every detail.

My older four children basically grew up in China. No, no Southern Baptists; all independent. Eldest son also has served in Mongolia and speaks both Chinese and Mongolian. Preparing some work in Inner Mongolia; he's a linguist. One daughter married to a veteran missionary to Russia. We have the youngest three with us in China now — One was born here 16 years ago, one was born in Russia, and the youngest was born in the Philippines. Our work centers around the Chinese, but also founded one church in the Philippines which is totally indigenous now, under a Filipino pastor.

In the English language, we'll just stay with the KJB; never have had the “flaws" proven to me. The center of my studies in Bible college and seminary were manuscript evidence. I firmly believe that the motivation of Wescott and Hort in the revision committee for the RV (England, 1881 to 84) was to deliberately corrupt all future revision work from that point. I believe the principle motivation behind all American English translations/versions from 1901 has been MONEY (selling something new). I'll just stick with the KJB
