The properly identified edicts of the RCC are ALSO "the very word of God."

Let's be careful, here.

We do not place Papal or Conciliar teaching on the same plane as Scripture.

The Scriptures are inerrant and inspired: they are (as we say at Mass) "The Word of The Lord". They are God's revelation of Himself to the Church.

Formal Church teaching is infallible: they enjoy Divine protection from error.

I am growing impatient with children insisting arithmetic is the only valid form of mathematics, so I’m omitting proper qualifiers.
