If Christ wanted to use bread and water and oil and wine to impart grace, then by gum, I'll take the bread and water and oil and wine and be darn thankful that He did so....I don’t think anyone is saying that the Eucharist is the *only* way to gain grace...it’s just that taking God into your body is....well...it sorta trumps other ways.

From what I am told by Catholics on FR, (and stop me if I’m wrong) Catholics are sanctified primarily by the ingestion of the Eucharist...
