I must say you had me baffled. I had to go back to post #15? for this one where you state: And the apostasy of Korah warned about by Peter was rebelling against authority by claiming all were equal.

Peter doesn't talk about the rebellion of Korah. Jude does.

Jud 1:11 Woe to them! For they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.

Had the people followed the word of God instead of the word of Korah, they would have been spared God's wrath.
