I doubt, on the subject of polygamy, that most Mormon’s feel comfortable condemning the practice. How can they when their prophet was a practicing polygammist and adulterer? How can they when they are but one presidential revelation away from that practice even now? How can they when many of their brethren practice polygamy in secret?

How many come directly from polygamous relationships through parents, grands or great grands?

It’s a dilemma they don’t like to talk about with non-Mormons. Trust me, I know. I’ve tried and I get the same reception, although not quite as contrary!

Is this the real reason, Old Mountain man?

Perhaps they are waiting for that one USSC decision like the one overturning homosexality laws in Texas to open the gates for polygamy to them again?
