I know you say you are listening, but you aren’t because you refuse to accept what I and others tell you we believe. Trying to understand what Mormons believe is really easy. We have four main books of scripture that constitute the offical teachings of the church. If it is not in one of these books, or words spoken at a general conference, or has not been voted on and adopted by the first presidency of the church, its not an official teaching. Or, you could just ask us if we believe something. If you refuse to accept this, there is no hope of having a useful discussion with you.
Yes, most have and would distant themselves from that qoute if you asked them. It was never an official teaching of the church, so there is no reason for us to go around disavowing it.
I am glad that you have shown your true colors and called my religion a cult. Your agenda is revealed. I hope your hate doesn’t run too deep and hope that you will someday learn to exemplify the love Christ showed to all people. Someday, and I pray it is soon, you will let go of your ill-will towards Mormons and that you will embrace your fellows sons and daughters of God, realizing that we all have faults and all need Christ.
