Exactly right. Call all you want. I stand by it.
- Acceptance of the Gospel is required for salvation.
- Smith was the prophet through whom the Gospel was restored.
THEREFORE IT FOLLOWS THAT:
- Acceptance of Smith is required for salvation.
Why is this so difficult for so many of you to understand?
Oh, and feel free to take this post, partially quote it, and take it out of context, too. As if I could stop you.
And all this time I was under the mistaken impression that Mormonism apologists could be reasoned with. Bummer ...
You are so brave. I don’t know how you can stand it. On the other hand, they are fulfilling prophesy in more ways than one. Hallelujah! CTR.
Bravely blaspheming.
I don’t find that admirable at all.
You applaud his personal attacks? His denigration of all of Christendom as Apostate? His word games? How is that “CTR”? Does the secret underwear grant permission to do such acts against civility?
I think it’s interesting that the anti Mormons call Joseph Smith Jr. “Joe Smith”. It is so childish. But thank you for fulfilling prophesy - that his name would be known for good and for evil. I know his name for good and you know his name for evil.
I am proud of Joseph Smith. He was murdered, you know, and suffered the fate of other Prophets. He was murdered by a mob of blood thirsty evil men. I suppose you think it is OK to murder a person in cold blood without trial, judge or jury. So be it.
This thread is just so very sad. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is perfect but the people in it are not.
Mormons are not perfect, just forgiven.
So being forgiven they are excused from the rules of civil society? Is that “CTR”?
“I am proud of Joseph Smith”
Proud of his bank fraud? Just to choose one, well documented case of his criminal behavior.
Smith was killed participating in a shoot-out, in which two other men were killed besides he and his brother....that can in no way be labeled "murder". And PLEASE name the other prophets that took part in a shoot-out. That Kool-aid sure must taste good!
You have now!
Ah right...
what was 372?
“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is perfect...”
And yet it changes with the political winds. Was it perfect when it ewxcluded blacks from active leadership roles? Was it perfect when it engaged in a war with civil authorities in Missouri? Was itm perfect when it endorsed polygamy or when it repudiated the same?
“Redeemer of Israel” from LDS hymn book:
Redeemer of Israel, our only delight,
On whom for a blessing we call,
Our shadow by day And our pillar by night,
Our King, our Deliverer, our all!
We know he is coming
To gather his sheep
And lead them to Zion in love,
For why in the valley of death should they weep
Or in the lone wilderness rove?
How long we have wandered as strangers in sin,
And cried in the desert for thee!
Our foes have rejoiced when our sorrows they’ve seen,
But Israel will shortly be free.
As children of Zion, Good tidings for us.
The tokens already appear.
Fear not, and be just,
For the kingdom is ours.
The hour of redemption is near.
Restore, my dear Savior,
The light of thy face;
They soul-cheering comfort impart;
And let the sweet longing
For thy holy place
Bring hope to my desolate heart.
He looks! and ten thousands of angels rejoice,
And myriads wait for his word;
He speaks! and eternity,
Filled with his voice,
Re-echoes the praise of the Lord.
Song finished. This is Saundra typing now. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my Savior who died for me to save me from my sins. Because of the Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ, I can return to live forever with my Heavenly Father. The Holy Ghost is my witness. Amen.
But, ultimately, it is worth it!
Matthew 13:45-46
And yet you are “proud” of Smith and of those on this thread who attack other posters. Is THAT “CTR”?
Hmmmm. I wonder which church’s members started the KKK movement. Those without sin, cast the first stone.
Won't you be surprised!
Won't you be surprised!
Well...
He still has the symptoms.
