We Mormons have a lot more evidence supporting our interpretations of the Bible.Too bad.
It was never meant to be INTREPRETED, but READ.

Why are there songs in the Mormon Hymnal praising Joseph Smith?
Insurance!!!
They succeeded in killing Joseph, but he had finished his work.
He was a servant of God, and gave us the Book of Mormon.
He said the Bible was right in the main, but, through the translators and others, many precious portions were suppressed, and several other portions were wrongly translated; and now his testimony is in force, for he has sealed it with his blood.
As I have frequently told them, no man in this dispensation will enter the courts of heaven, without the approbation of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jun.
Who has made this so?
Have I?
Have this people?
Have the world?
No; but the Lord Jehovah has decreed it.
If I ever pass into the heavenly courts, it will be by the consent of the Prophet Joseph.
If you ever pass through the gates into the Holy City, you will do so upon his certificate that you are worthy to pass.
Can you pass without his inspection?
No; neither can any person in this dispensation, which is the dispensation of the fulness of times.
In this generation, and in all the generations that are to come, everyone will have to undergo the scrutiny of this Prophet.
They say that they killed Joseph, and they will yet come with their hats under their arms and bend to him; but what good will it do them, unless they repent?
They can come in a certain way and find favor, but will they?
"If I ever pass into heavenly courts, it will be by the consent of Prophet Joseph"

It might interest you to know that LDS is currently listed as the fastest expanding protestant religion in the U.S.Mormons are not "protestants"
They deny the triune God, they believe that "god the father" was once a man, he and his wives had "spirit babies " to inhabit his new earth.
They believe their are many gods of many planets and that someday observant mormons will become gods of their own planets .
That does not come close to any Christian doctrine I know of. It is why they are called a cult

- Because the fullness of the Gospel was restored through Joseph Smith, and because one must accept the fullness of the Gospel (whether in this life or the next) in order to receive salvation, one must therefore accept Joseph Smith as a prophet in order to receive salvation.
The ONLY way I 'accept' JS as a prophet, is a FALSE one!
I would have to ASSUME, therefore, that I am NOT saved.
So be it.

I never intimated such a thing, and the fact that you have accused me of doing so is a demonstration of blatant misrepresentation on your part. One more example of how the anti-Mormon twists LDS doctrine to suit his own purposes. YOU qwrote the statement.
It was TWISTED to nothing - it was merely read at face value.
If YOU cannot write things in English that CAN'T be taken at face value; it ain't our fault.
Quit trying to BLAME us for YOUR shortcomings.
(It makes you sound so... so... Liberal!)

The Apostles that Christ was talking to were all previously (in verse 19) told to “Go into all the world, and teach all nations, baptizing them...” Thy were all cruelly martyred later as well. That doesn’t mean Christ wasn’t with them, he was, to the very end, and to our very end, if we are faithful.
The apostasy isn’t about Christ leaving his true disciples, it’s about them leaving Him.
I’m curious... since you brought up this verse... do you think that baptism is mandatory and essential, as Christ told his apostles in these verses. I know that many of the “evangelical types” don’t consider it absolutely necessary.

Where in the Old or New Testaments does it say anything about Christ’s death not being “good enough” that God “requires” an additional “prophet” to fulfill the Law of the Old Testament?
I’ve never read anything about that.
Also, why were Christ’s last words on the cross, It is finished! (John 19:30) if “it” (the payment for sins, i.e., His own sacrifice of blood...an Old Testament requirement for forgiveness of sin by God) *really* wasn’t?

Ill skip the rest of the list of heresies that mainstream Christianity has embraced in the name of orthodoxy.
Oh don't, please. List them for us. Start with your condemnation of the Trinity, move through your defense of Arian and condemn again St. Athanasius and take us through the tortured centuries of darkness and apostacy as believed by the One True Faith you claim to follow.
