Christ specifically and repeatedly commanded his followers to judge a person's religious faith.
The verses you cite, Matthew 7:1-5, do not prohibit all types of judging. In fact, carrying on with scripture where you left off:
Matt. 7:15 Be careful of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise with careful discernment.
John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.Censorious, hypocritical, self-righteous, or other forms of unfair judgments are indeed forbidden by the text you cited in your response, but in order to fulfill the commandments that follow, it is necessary dogs and swine (v. 6) from one's own brothers (vv. 3-5).
