I will give you that about modern Liberalism, so-called, but not about "liberal" as in "of or pertaining to freedom". I think the resuscitation of TRUE liberalism in the west by such as Albert, Aquinas,Erasmus, More, Mirandola, and even Montaigne (much later) affirms the God-given dignity of humanity and that the crown of that dignity is obedience to God.

Modern pseudo-liberalism is more about license than freedom and wants everything to be okay and immediately displays the impossibility of that desire by coming down with viciousness, repression, and slaughter on anyone who disagrees or whose existence is inconvenient.

Agreed! All of which is a product of the “virus of Plauralism” -got the seed from the reformation, sprouted in the enlightenment and is a monster today
