When I pray to a member of the Church Triumphant, I ask them to lay my prayers on the alter of the Lord, I ask them to intercede for me, with the implicit knowledge that all prayers are ultimately directed to the only One who has the authority to answer. God is the focus of our prayers and the source of all answers, both recognized and unrecognized.
