A friend of mine liked to get people so upset they would run to their bibles to prove us wrong.
He had people who hadn’t cracked a bible in 20 years reading, and learning it again.

And that is a good thing.
If healthy debate can cause people to read it for themselves there is nothing wrong with that.

My wife thanks God for this - as a couple of pastors at my church have caused me to dig into the Word as never before to test some of the slop that was offered up to the sheep. Now I am better equipped (though nowhere near complete) to fulfil my tag line.
