How can "Christ on earth" be a time of God's resting? It seems to me to be just the opposite. Christ on earth, the Holy Spirit moving in our lives and hearts and families, can only invigorate the planet. In fact, in the futurst scheme Messiah the King is offering sacrifices, not resting, per the literalist reading of last chapters of Ezekiel.

In fact, in the futurst scheme Messiah the King is offering sacrifices, not resting, per the literalist reading of last chapters of Ezekiel. Which is certainly incorrect, given that Christ was the one-time, fully accomplished sacrifice for all the sins of His sheep, according to Hebrews 10.
"Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin." -- Hebrews 10:18
