These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. They are our FRiends, just as you are my FRiend and brother in Christ. As I see it, we are discussing how to understand Scripture not whether we are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone. It seems that we can get a little super heated about this and we really shouldn't.
So in answer to your statement, I do expect them to have reasoned arguments. I may not agree with all of it, but they have made some good points.

Alas, I think my expectations on that score have been pretty well burned to ash and mostly blown away far too many times to leave much residual left of much functionality.
I remain abidingly shocked at a deepening, broadening level. It really is an amazing thing to me
theologically, sociologically and psychologically to observe.
It is NOT just a set of differences in terms of Biblical perspectives, to me. Not sure when or why of all such shifts. But there has been a big shift on that score within me as I’ve read so many utterly outlandish statements as though they were Gospel truth. Still working on a reply to one.
