Partial preterists do think that Jesus came in the clouds and that it was witnessed.
They’ll take you to Josephus’ hearsay accounts of stange happenings in the heavens at the time of Jerusalem’s destruction.
He “came in the clouds” in 70 AD and one day he’ll come to close up shop.
Not only do they stretch their Bibles far further than a new inner-tube would stretch . . .
They stretch credulity light years beyond the breaking point.
That they can believe what they spout and look the person in their mirrors in the eye still boggles my mind.
It’s like creating new Scripture out of whole cloth—and that very badly—not the least bit congruent with the whole counsel of Scripture.
