Christopher Gillibrand collects the most egregious examples of European church design and liturgy. Here some of the photos he's got of a German Carnival Mass. My question - why can't they go to the parish hall and leave the church and Mass out of it ? Looking at the church design, it can of course easily be mistaken for a parish hall.

Your argument is with the gospels. "As mt Father sent me, I send you", "Who hears you hears me", Christ said.

Christ is speaking to you, annalex, and to me, and to all those who preach the Gospel in love.

However you interpret this, one taking His words seriously is Alter Christus. If you and your fellow Calvinist want to arrogate the title to the priesthood of the believers, that is your decision; but the gospel is clear that Christ sends his Church in His person to forgive sins, offer the Eucharist, and preach the gospel.
