Fascinating.

The Foreknowledge article had zero Gospel references.

The Does God Choose Us article had only one direct Gospel reference (Matt 20), with several oblique references but no actual Gospel verse.

The Exegetical Study article had one minor Gospel reference(Matt 1:25) which is largely irrelevant to the article itself.

We’re right. You guys are Paulines. Your Gospel of Paul as interpreted by Calvin is supported by cherry picking OT. It’d be fascinating to see the Reformed deal with the Sermon on the Mount, or the Beatitudes, or any of the other inclusivist instructions given by Jesus in the spirit in which they were delivered, rather than this fixation on the exclusivist club that Calvin manufactured from the ashes of the Gnostics.

The excerpted article from Calvin seems odd in itself, but it is telling.

“I admit that if our nature had not been corrupted and we all had the same assurance of blessedness, we would be endowed with a variety of gifts...when God [looks into the future and] surveys all mankind, he will find them all, from the first to the last, under the same curse.”

This makes no sense whatsoever. We know that God has given us all different gifts. We are all different. We are not all equally blessed, not even those that will attain salvation. I would not say that, for instance, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II (whom I assume are Heaven-bound) are equally blessed and that they have been given the same gifts. God has tested them differently.

Just as you and I are being tested differently. We each of us have our Via. It is up to us how we journey. There is no limo ride. We must continue to put one foot in front of the other or we will never complete the journey.

The Foreknowledge article had zero Gospel references.

The Foreknowledge article has dozens of Scriptural references. God did not write just the four books of the Gospels. He wrote 66 books of the Bible and we are to learn from all of them.

IIRC, the RCC uses more than the four Gospels to preach and teach. Has that changed?

God has tested them (Mother Teresa and JPII) differently.

Then God is not "impartial," is He?
