Since they aren’t talking about homosexuality when they talk about femininity vs. masculinity, I wonder what parameters are being used to determine “femininity” and “masculinity”? Are we looking at things like “likes to read” as opposed to “likes to play football”?
This is how one church that attracts men sees itself:
We are:
.05% Traditional
7.8% Cautious
33% Above average height
49.9999% Humorous
50.1111% Serious (Hey...we’re a church. We have to be at least a little more serious than not)
62% Risky
84% Bold
100% Real
Men are attracted to a God who isn’t “safe”. They want to risk something, not to be nurtured. They want a challenge not a sharing. They are moved by heroes, Captain of the hosts, Elohim, Jehovah not endless stories of Abba.
Then he isnt safe? said Lucy.
Safe? said Mr. Beaver; dont you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? Course he isnt safe. But hes good. Hes the King I tell you.
