Ping - Your reference to the sun god brings to mind Ez.8:3-18. It shows how God feels about it and as His Word is the same today as it was yesterday.
6.He is saying that the House of Israel commits these abominations and because of that, "I should go afar off from My sanctuary" If the House of Israel is, as I believe, the Christian nations of today, what are we committing that He finds to be an "abomination"?
14."behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz". What does that mean? It's a pagan ritual still in many of our churches today and it is an abomination to God.
