If you have to reach all the way back to Ignatius for support for something that you didn't get around to recognizing until the late 4th century, then you are really stretching it.
Recognized and Canonized are two very different things. Your understanding of Church History picks and chooses. You recognize the importance of the Church Fathers, but deny the Church they were members of. You deny the Council of Hippo, but recognize the Canon it endorsed. That is bad history.
