1Cr 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Tts 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

The Way.

He provides the means and the path. It's up to you if you take it. No Catholic teaching even infers that good works alone will save you. You MUST take the way.

You don't hop into a vehicle and get conveyed. You have to walk the path and your feet can stray from that path, as so many have done. It is then up to you to regain the path. This is very clearly laid out in so many of His teachings.
