I stumbled across this page on the net...I haven't looked at the main site...

Too dumb to argue with, in my opinion.

Rambling on and on and on....with a whole lot of errors. Not worth the time spent to read it.

**The fourth thing a Catholic learns is the Mass is not found in the Bible any where. **

You know better than to post something like this.

Look at the Daily and Sunday Readings that are posted on FR.

FYI, the readings come from the Bible! Amazing, isn't it?

In my opinion possibly a misguided agent of Satan but more likely just another ignorant fool spouting lies and distortions. Satan usually chooses smarter, craftier folks as his agents.
Pray for his conversion to Christianity.

Catholicism remains popular because a Catholic can sin all the way to purgatory and someone can buy their way out of hell fire right into heaven.
Good to know. I think I will put my salvation on my Visa card.

They do so because they are scared of the Catholic church and its priests.
Maybe the author thinks the term Lavender Mafia refers to a gang of killer priests.

When they look for Jesus Christ to be a Catholic they are shocked he was not a Catholic and never attended a Catholic church.
But, but I go to Holy Family, doesn’t that mean Jesus and His family went here too?

Of course the priest will try numerous tricks to keep Catholics in the church
So, that is why Cardinal Mahoney allows those Clown Masses.

When Catholics discover this is false, that Jesus started a Jewish religion,

That would be news to the Apostles as well. Too bad St. Paul did not know of this restriction think of the aggravation he could have spared himself.

When a Catholic opens their Bible they will not find the small wafer as pictured on the left. They will not find anyone sticking out their tongue to have the wafer placed there by a Catholic priest.

My family Bible is rather large, but I doubt it could hide a communion wafer let alone a communicant.

Usually there is music and a song immediately after the consecration that turns the bread and wine into the flesh and blood of Jesus.

Yeah you never can trust a Church where they have Hymns.

They learn the Catholic church invented a white religion that is racist and portrays Mary, Joseph, Jesus as white people when they were black or brown.

It is an established historical fact that the Catholic Popes and clergy are actually secret members of the Klu Klux Klan, plus they can’t jump or dance.

When a Catholic opens their Bible they will not find Mary attending a Catholic Church. They will not find her as a Nun. They will not find a perpetual virgin. If Mary is not a Catholic there is no Catholic church.

Again my Bible is not that big. But otherwise the argument is so sound how can one refute it? Oh I know BPHHHTTTTT

Because of the clarity of his arguments. Because of the logic and deep thinking evident in his writing. Because of his knowledge of history, religion, theology and Scripture. Because of his charity to other and his humility. Because his perception and his insight on the Catholic Church. And most of all because of his keen intellect, wisdom and knowledge. I have decided to remain Catholic.

This is not the time in History to condem Catholics. There are many bad protestants as well as fallen Catholics. Church, no matter what chruch, is not a haven for saints ,it is a hospital for sinners. Jesus OUR LORD said tend to your own house first. Take for instance John Edwards and his past evil posts on line . He never said he was sorry. If a person finds peace as I do in the Catholic chruch then I am sure Jesus < MY LORD AND SAVIOR> would not mind if I spoke to him there. He loves us all, as we must do . The people who condem the Catholic church have no problem not offending radical Islam though. We must all stick together , all churches and fight this ill will coming and it is in the world now. Do not destroy GOD's word church by church , stay together as Satin is here and working very hard to in the end destroy us all!

Author nails it for me right at the top:

Why No One Should Be A Catholic

The first thing a Catholic learns when they open their Bible is they cannot buy their way out of hell fire.

If a religion won't allow me to buy my way out of hell fire, I'm just not interested.

ROFL!!!

If this is what you believe, then we Catholics truly have our work cut out for us :-)

Just returned home from Mass .... where .... oh, wait, what does this guy say?

What is the Mass? It is an artificial sacrifice. It is a mock sacrifice. It is the priest recrucifying Jesus in the emblems of the Eucharist and the Cup. Where in the Bible are we to think that observing the Lord's Communion or Passover memorial we are recrucifying Jesus on the Cross? It is not there! When a Catholic looks in the Bible for a priest to hold in his hands the Eucharist wafer and turn it into the flesh of Jesus, he/she will not find it. When they look in the Bible for a place where a priest blesses the cup and turns it into the blood of Jesus he/she cannot find it. This is shocking!

He's right! You won't find the Mass in the Bible because the Bible is in the Mass! I guess the author hasn't figured this out yet. Allow me to quote another Protestant - Dr. Scott Hahn.

"There I stood, a man incognito, a Protestant minister in plainclothes, slipping into the back of a Catholic chapel in Milwaukee to witness my first Mass. Curiosity had driven me there, and I still didn't feel sure that it was healthy curiosity. Studying the writings of the earliest Christians, I'd found countless references to "the liturgy," "the Eucharist," "the sacrifice." For those first Christians, the Bible - the book I loved above all - was incomprehensible apart from the event that today's Catholics called "the Mass."

"I wanted to understand the early Christians; yet I'd had no experience of liturgy. So I persuaded myself to go and see, as a sort of academic exercise, but vowing all along that I would neither kneel nor take part in idolatry."

I took my seat in the shadows, in a pew at the very back of that basement chapel. Before me were a goodly number of worshipers, men and women of all ages. Their genuflections impressed me, as did their apparent concentration in prayer. Then a bell rang, and they all stood as the priest emerged from a door beside the altar.

Unsure of myself, I remained seated. For years, as an evangelical Calvinist, I'd been trained to believe that the Mass was the ultimate sacrilege a human could commit. The Mass, I had been taught, was a ritual that purported to "resacrifice Jesus Christ." So I would remain an observer. I would stay seated, with my Bible open beside me.

As the Mass moved on, however, something hit me. My Bible wasn't just beside me. It was before me - in the words of the Mass! One line was from Isaiah, another from Psalms, another from Paul. The experience was overwhelming. I wanted to stop everything and shout, "Hey, can I explain what's happening from Scripture? This is great!" Still, I maintained my observer status. I remained on the sidelines until I heard the priest pronounce the words of consecration: "This is My body . . . This is the cup of My blood."

Then I felt all my doubt drain away. As I saw the priest raise that white host, I felt a prayer surge from my heart in a whisper: "My Lord and my God. That's really you!"

I was what you might call a basket case from that point. I couldn't imagine a greater excitement than what those words had worked upon me. Yet the experience was intensified just a moment later, when I heard the congregation recite: "Lamb of God . . . Lamb of God . . . Lamb of God," and the priest respond, "This is the Lamb of God . . ." as he raised the host. In less than a minute, the phrase "Lamb of God" had rung out four times. From long years of studying the Bible, I immediately knew where I was. I was in the Book of Revelation, where Jesus is called the Lamb no less than twenty-eight times in twenty-two chapters. I was at the marriage feast that John describes at the end of that very last book of the Bible. I was before the throne of heaven, where Jesus is hailed forever as the Lamb. I wasn't ready for this, though - I was at Mass!

Thank you for posting this thread! It's a gem.

As with other Protestants of this particular stripe (most Protestants are not like this), I see an individual with no joy or humility but only hate, loathing, a warped sense of self-importance, and an ill tongue. He does not carry the message or the hope of Jesus Christ. All I can do is pray for his (their) eyes to opened.

I think this Gospel applies to this article.

Gospel
Mt 5:20-26

Jesus said to his disciples:
“I tell you,
unless your righteousness surpasses that
of the scribes and Pharisees,
you will not enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

“You have heard that it was said to your ancestors,
You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.
But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother
will be liable to judgment,
and whoever says to his brother, Raqa,
will be answerable to the Sanhedrin,
and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna.
Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar,
and there recall that your brother
has anything against you,
leave your gift there at the altar,
go first and be reconciled with your brother,
and then come and offer your gift.
Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court.
Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge,
and the judge will hand you over to the guard,
and you will be thrown into prison.
Amen, I say to you,
you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.”

I don't think this should be a fight over Catholic/Protestant. Perhaps it's time for both to tally their strong points as well as the weaknesses.

I haven't studied long and I see many here who are very knowledgeable so I'm hesitant to insert this. But, if you see someone walking blindfolded toward a cliff would you stop them?

Ezekiel 8:18 - Therefore will I also deal in fury: Mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in Mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them."

God's word doesn't change so this is still applicable today. What was He furious about, what was an abomination to Him? Are the churches guilty of this abomination today?

I suspect should this writer find himself within the Pearly Gates of Heaven he's going to have a shock coming!

Those who entrust the Holy Spirit and seek to follow the teachings of the Bible certainly wouldn't be surprised to see "the righteous of all nations" on those crystal streets.
