Only if one believes the gospel and obeys it does one access the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

What do you mean obeys the gospel??? What then is the gospel, the bible???

Obeying the Gospel (in a nutshell)

1) Hear and Believe

2) Profess your commitment publicly

3) Undergo full immersion water baptism for the forgiveness of your sins

4) Continue living in a manner pleasing to the Lord, growing in His Word

*** I have no desire to get into a discussion on a) the need of baptism, or b) faith/works. As such, I have refrained from providing Scripture references; and don't be surprised if I ignore any posts regarding these. I am merely responding to Iscool's question.
