You offered 2 Thessalonians 2:14 as proof of the validity of "the truth being proclaimed by tradition."

This is 2 Thess. 2:14...

""Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Nowhere in that verse is any mention made of tradition; only Scripture, only the word of God.

Perhaps you see things that aren't there.

This si the entire passage:

13 Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 14 Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle

(2 Thess 2)

Verse 14 qualifies the preceding verse: God calls by the gospel, but we are to hold to the entire Tradition, either written or oral. It is also disputable if the "gospel" in v 13 is the scripture or oral witness of the "good news". Historically, (Thessalonian epistles were among the first written), probalby the latter.
