Though I have, on occasion, found some who were still works in progress on one or more gifts of Holy Spirit to be worth listening to as long as I was grounded in The Word and listening foremost to Holy Spirit affirming or disconfirming what I was hearing from the mortal.

No doubt there are pearls of wisdom from strange sources:

And one of them, [named] Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. Nevertheless, I will stick with the Fruits of the Spirit test (Matt 7, Gal 5) as it has been very effective for me.
