The point to be made is that just because anyone in particular might make a statement of truth from a position of authority, it is not the position held that determines the truth of the matter. It's how that statement compares with reality and the rules of logic apply. So in the US, how does logic determine that we should drive on the right side of the road, instead of on the left side of the road?
