Interesting, but quite irrelevant. The Sixth Ecumenical Council gave the African Code of 419 universal force, thus settling the matter.

The Sixth Ecumenical Council gave the African Code of 419 universal force, thus settling the matter. So the Council just ignored the ante-Nicene tradition of the church in making its decision??? It appears that the tradition of the ante-Nicene church was that of an Old Testament similar to the Jews who rejected of the OT deuteros. That explains Jerome's statement that the church [with a small "c"] does not recognize the deuteros.
