Oh, lol. THAT explains it. When one goes from Protestantism to Catholicsm ones goes from partial to complete truth and one never hates their former Community.

When one goes from complete to partial truth one must rationalise their perfidy and broken vows. "It isn't my fault. The Church is corrupt."

It is a bit like listening to a man rationalising why he anbandoned his vows to his wife ..."she was a harpie..she was a bad cook..she got fat...

Well, here is a little Scripture for the ex-priest. He doesn't have God

Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

Gotta disagree there too. God is present outside the Roman Church (and, as a Reformed Christian, I have to say he is represented by the Roman Catholic Church too, however imperfectly.)

Far more concerning to me about this ex-priest is his hateful attitude towards Dr. Hahn - this is no irenic disagreement. This is a hit piece that embarrasses me as a Reformed Christian.

I remember, not long after I became Catholic, there were a few stalwart Methodist women who came to an enchilada supper we were having. One of them stopped me and asked why she hadn't seen me at church for so long, I told her I had become a Catholic. I expected a lecture or at the least a disapproving scowl but she just said how glad she was that I had found a home for my faith. I truly think she meant it.

Growing up Methodist we had so many things that were Catholic but I always felt that something was missing. It was in the Methodist Church that I found my faith and committed myself to God, married and baptized my children, it was my home until I found a beautiful mansion.
