Why? We're talking about intent and that we can't know hearts so we can't judge. Same thing. Do you have another standard that you apply to God fearing homosexuals?
You quote: 1Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
The Christians I know who celebrate Halloween are not sacrificing to devils. I've never even heard of Christians celebrating Halloween by sacrificing to devils. And you cannot know their intent unless you are God.
You didn't get my point then. The pagans who were sacrificing to devils didn't think that they were sacrificing to devils either. They were their gods. And their intent was probably good. But Paul knew that they were deceived, in the grip of deception. He knew what was really behind the pagan practices.
Indeed we are. We're talking about the intent Christians have in letting their children dress up and go house-to-house.
The pagans who were sacrificing to devils didn't think that they were sacrificing to devils either.
I understood what you were saying, but we're talking about Christian parents letting their children dress up and go house-to-house. You cannot equate that to sacrificing to devils.
