It doesn't specifically. Scripture focuses on the holy days that God created which are listed in Leviticus chapter 23, not days employed in pagan worship practices. However, the bible is clear that pagan worship practices are not be observed by those who worship God.
D,
I agree that Hallowe'en CAN focus on the occult, but it does not need to. Bringing up your children in the knowledge of Jesus, and drenching them in his word, is the most important thing a parent can do. AND teach kids which part of Hallowe'en is okay (dressing up and asking for candy, which is not wrong) and which parts are NOT okay (any dabbling in occult-like imagery or beliefs or activities ANY DAY OF THE YEAR. Once a child is rooted in his own personal faith, and learns to grow in it and experience God in his life, Hallowe'en need not be a threat.
Then I suggest that you not put up a christmas tree, if you are so afraid of pagan worship practices. The christmas tree is 100% pagan. Blasphemer!
Good grief. Don't people have enough to do that they have to be terrified that children might actually be having fun?
While you're at it, force children to stop playing "Ring Around The Rosy", since that game has its source in the Dark Ages, and is a re-enactment of The Black Death.
People just need to grow up.

Really? Hmmm. Do you honestly believe that Jesus was born on December 25th?
It doesn't specifically.
Exactly!!!! Let's not spin. You are as back as the Christmas crazies. Every year we have to go through every holiday and people ruin them. Thanksgiving is next!! What do they say? Oh that the Pilgrims were mean to the Indians....don't worry Christmas will be next and you will be the first one complaining about how awful it is that people are messing with all the holidays. You make me laugh.
i consider most of the holdays we celebrate as a culture to be secular, so you'd still consider that bad? So no Festivus?
