I understand that many don't like to hear this type of thing, but it's important to know where the customs we observe come from and why we observe them.

Not this BS again........................

we've enjoyed trick-or-teating, Halloween parties, and the general fun of Halloween..............

The nonexistent 'Satan" never came forth, nor were we possessed by equally nonexistent demons.

I say "BRING ME MORE MOUNDS BARS and KIT KAT BARS!!!!!" SNICKERS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Baptist school my son attends is having an "Octoberfest" thing on the 31st to give parents who don't want their kids to participate in halloween an alternative. They are going to have slides and bouncy things and nobody is wearing costumes.

The following article from CARM (Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry) appears to approach the subject from a more balanced perspective: Halloween

And here's one more: What about Halloween? by Bob and Gretchen Passantino. It's a little long but it has some great suggestions at the end.

our church has a Judgement House, that shows representations of what awaits the unrepentant sinner. A lot of the youth really get involved and it's a good teaching tool.

Halloween, Christmas, Easter and more...
Samhain, the Winter Solstice, Beltain - the list goes on and on.

Me, I like holiday's. Even some of those that where celebrated by my ancestors who were ignorant of the Lord. I like the new meanings better than the old sometimes too.
