The body of believers is never called "Catholic" (Roman or otherwise) in scripture. The body of believers was not referred to as "Christians" until the Gospel had been taken to Antioch, years after Pentecost. According to your reasoning, therefore, there were no Christians until the believers were called Christians in Antioch.
