A Christian is anyone who follows Christ.

Amen.

Okay you revere it. Show me where I haven't. Thanks.

I did in many posts tonight. Stop wasting bandwidth and burning up my recent donation to FR!

Amen! So why would anyone who follows Christ, who is in Christ, and who is indwelt by Christ through the Holy Spirit need a human to be a vicar of Christ?

Because Christ appointed us one.

You say I don't revere it. I say I do. Prove me wrong. Look into my heart and say I don't. Who makes the authority?

The term "troll" is defined by behavior, not tenure.

Look into my heart . . .

Staring into the abyss can be frightening to the bravest of men.

And when was the Christian Church established?

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Was Jesus the Christ? Yes or No? You will have to answer yes. Was St. Peter following Him? Yes! Define a Christian. It is one that follows Christ. Well, maybe in your case it is one who follow JC making them a JCian.

"Because Christ appointed us one."

No because God appointed us one, and it was Christ.

"Was St. Peter following Him?"

And where is it documented in the Bible that Peter is a saint?

Ok, I'm going to have to say I'm totally clueless on what a perl script is. Clue me in, please.

God appointed Christ the Vicar of Christ?

You're making less sense than ever.

No because God appointed us one, and it was Christ.

The Epistles relate the characteristics and responsibilites of a good bishop. Nowhere is it implied that any are to hold a special representation of Christ (other than that of us all, the priesthood of believers) to the rest of us.

YOUR LINK:

Chris‧tian –adjective 1. of, pertaining to, or derived from Jesus Christ or His teachings: a Christian faith.

Peter was Christian when Jesus Christ called him the Rock upon which He would build His Church.

ROFLOL! Take a look in your KJV and you will see that all of the Gospels start out titled like this "The Gospel According to St. John."

I guess St. Peter is just chopped liver?
