The title "Cardinal Sean" just doesn't sound right to me.
It seems to me that the use of one's baptismal name is typical to the "Franciscan Tradition". The priests and brothers do not not typically use their surnames in their nominal titles. It may sound foreign to many, but it is customary for that particular Religious Order.
