Ha, ha, I gotcha. I didn't say "the Bible teaches" I said "the Bible does say", at least my KJV with the original Scofield notes, and that phrase must be in agreement with what other scriptures state about the nature of God. Malachi 3:6, " For I am the LORD, I change not;"

I agree with Malachi 3:6. God's immutable characteristics are not changed. But if that verse were to apply to everything about God, then we would have to deny the incarnation, as Christ did not become a man (a substantive change to say the least) until about 4 B.C. And the incarnation would clearly not be in harmony with your two proof text verses where God says "I am not a man."

Well in 4 BC he became a man, didn't he?

Or is that whole incarnation thing an allegory?
