So why has science been hijacked to the religion forum, where the arguments and methods of science are not respected?
It makes no sense to argue science with apologetics. You have said yourself that no statement is too stupid to be believed by someone.
But this isn not how science works and how science reasons. Once a stupid idea has been discredited by facts, it will never come back in the same form. At the level of specifics, it will never come back at all.

js1138 - you say it makes no sense to argue science with apologetics. I'd say it makes no sense to argue something while ignoring the data which does not conform to your preconceived opinions.
You both seem pretty agitated - long with PH - that this was moved to the religion forum. That to me appears to be truly childish - does it really matter which 'sandbox' your ideas are presented in if they are true and valid?

It makes no sense to argue science with apologetics. While I don't claim to have any knowledge about when or why this thread was moved into a different forum you do seem to have missed the fact that the "scientist" who authored the OP was making a theological argument, not a scientific one in at least his first 2 points.
