What gets me is that the fact that Bishop Robinson is homosexual is only part of the problem -- a part that nobody is mentioning. Another important fact is that he committed adultery. I guess that, in our PC times, committing adultery is fine, but committing adultery with someone of the same sex is better than fine.

I was reminded of former Governor McGreevey of New Jersey. He would rather claim he was being persecuted for being gay than for being corrupt. And, because he played the "gay card," he became a sympathetic figure instead of being carted off to jail.
