A man was arrested without incident in Seattle May 11 for investigation of a weapons violation after he spoke briefly to the Most Rev. Desmond Tutu and then handed the retired Archbishop of Southern Africa three bullets. Archbishop Tutu was in Seattle for the 75th anniversary celebration of the cathedral. He is a personal friend of the dean, the Very Rev. Robert Taylor.
Archbishop Tutu had just finished greeting well-wishers at a reception and was preparing to get into a car to go back to his hotel when police said a 57-year-old Seattle man approached him. Archbishop Tutu continued toward the car after calmly handing the bullets to Dean Taylor, who turned and gave the rounds to a Seattle police officer on the scene for crowd control.
The officer approached the man and patted him down, discovering a .45 caliber handgun, a fixed-blade knife, and additional ammunition in the mans backpack. Police later discovered that the man was a convicted felon and did not have a permit for a concealed weapon.

Unfortunately, the drive-by media will report this not as a whack-job who is currently not in legal possession of a gun, but as just another typical gun owner - you know: a whack-job (in thier view).
