Now, this statement presumes two things: (1) That atheists don't have a "faith"; and (2) That you, as an informal member of that faith, have never (or rarely) "sniped" at, say, Islamo-fascism waging war on America thru terrorism.
Is that true? You've never "sniped" at Islamo-fascists masquerading as terrorists?
Atheism is a matter of faith: You take it by faith that either nothing created you, or if something did, you were spiritually orphaned (or were a spiritual runaway) long ago. The "faith" of an atheist says there's nothing out there applicable to Him or Her in terms of a god [Him & Her are capitalized because for some, they are their own gods--the ceiling stops there].
To reiterate: Atheism is indeed a religious position staked out...either concluding there is no God (hard-core atheism) or more of an agnostic type of practical atheism (soft-core: doesn't know or doesn't care).
Either way, an atheistic lifestyle is a commentary that either there is no supernatural god, or if there is one or more, there is no relational intersection--ne'er the twain shall meet.
