Actually, the New Testament requires Christians to point out false teachers and false teaching with rigor. We are not "even to share a meal with such". Stating Mormon facts is not bias, it's something that the Lord and Paul and Peter etc., require of me.

But perhaps I need to forgive all the Mormons I have known for their passionate ignorance and desire to deceive as they tried to proselytize me.

It was a deep wound that helped me in the long run to be scrupulous where Christian doctrine is concerned.

But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

wow, that pride thing is a toughie, ain't it?... and Charity to a young man that died doing what??? Just trying to find his way towards the Lord.

But of course since you're the final word on who the "false teachers" are then by all means pass judgment on these evil false teachers. By all means let us not forget that you suffered a "deep wound" that now allows you to scrupulously defend the Christian doctrine by putting down others. That's what Jesus did... and Paul.... and I guess Peter.

From what I can tell, most of us are just trying to muddle through the best we can in hope that the Lord will somehow through his grace let our pathetic lives reflect well on his sacrifice for us.

I think anytime you think you're a "better Christian" than somebody else....... you need to take a hard look in the mirror brother.

Pride.... it's a mother..... I know, I've got it in spades.

Doll, I'm a girl. And I'M not judging Mormons. They are already judged by the plain text of the Bible. And, if you knew the Bible, you'd know that St. Paul said that we who are Christians have no right to "judge those on the outside" but of those who are on the inside, or those who claim to be Christians, we are the judges.........-- I just wanted to point out that their mission into the apartment houses of suburban Virginia was not really a wholesome or holy endeavor, despite all appearances. .......and every day I come woefully short. My discussion on Mormonism isn't anything I'll regret in His sight, however.

I meant brother as in "brother in Christ".. ok..sister.

as for the planets, wives, white underwear and all..... you are right. It sounds strange, however if it's the Lords way of bringing people to him.... I don't know, maybe you do.

Well if you're good in "His sight", and you know that, well then by all means, correct those evil Mormons..... don't "share your bread" with them, and lead them in the right direction.

Was wondering how Catholics fall out in the scheme of things?... Since you know the one true way, I just wanted to check out my odds.

My wife says that Presbyterians will go to heaven, I tell her she's going to hell with the kids, but I'm good to go as a Catholic. Any thoughts? ..... I'm pulling for the Catholics cause my mom and dad told me that was the way to go.

Obviously only a scratch. You've got a long way to go before you can be considered "scrupulous".

Since your post was deleted before I saw it I can only assume your "facts" are like all the other anti-mormon "facts"....WRONG, and nothing more than gratuitous assertions, which can be just as gratuitously denied. Consider your assertions DENIED.

BTW, it is YOUR version of the Gospel that is wrong, YOU are the apostate. See how easy it is?

My first emotional reaction to your post is, of course, to curse you as an ignorant fool. However, upon immediate reflection, that would not be the right thing to do.

My son is on his mission right now, in Calgary Canada. He's a white guy. Zowie, many of us are. Many of us are African, many of us are from South and Central America. Many of us are from the Pacific islands.

We read the Bible. We also have an additional witness called the Book of Mormon. We also have a collection of direct revelations to modern prophets that we call the Doctrine & Covenants. There is another shorter collection of ancient and modern texts known as the Pearl of Great Price. In all of these texts you will find that the message is the same: Salvation is attained through the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ and obedience to the Lord's Commandments.

I believe you would be incorrect in attacking our missionaries on the basis of our doctrine. They are out doing the Lord's work without passing the plate for a salary, and it costs YOU nothing for their work.

Stating so-called facts without even reading your own scriptures shows bad form. However, I forgive you and will add you to our prayers that the Lord will soften your heart to His gospel.

Apparently the page containing Luke 14:11 is missing from your Bible.

FWIW this is really an inappropriate thread to be questioning the motives of Mormon missionaries or the correctness of their doctrine.
