That is an excellent parable, one that I keep forgetting about but bears repeating. Anything "good works" that we do is expected of us. What God does NOT expect of us is to fall into sin. When we fall into sin, Jesus is there to pull us out. But the reason of the Spirit is so that we may abide in Christ.
