So, we can safely ignore Peter's letters that are in the New Testament?

Who, do you think, the sheep were in John 21?

You misunderstand me. I love Peter. He is just like me. He blusters in at the wrong time, he blurts out the first thing that comes into his mind and he's not afraid to run away when he thinks he is in danger. He has a fall back position when he thinks his first plan isn't going the way he thought it would and he is more comfortable with the old tradition than new friends.

we ignore Peter's letters at our peril. He is writing from real world experiences and his advice has been tempered in the fires of humiliation and adversity as well as being personally in the presence of The Glory.

If you read Paul's letters and the Jerusalem Council, his sheep were the Jews in particular, although he has the responsibility along with all believers to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, just like you and I are commanded to do.
