Thanks for posting the other side of the story. There's much more to this than the Archbishop said in his note.

This guy has a history of closing parishes - he's a crusader who reminds me of Arne Carlson's desire to close small public schools (regardless of their financial situation). He also apparently accepted the presence of a transgendered "nun" in his old diocese.

There are always two sides. After reading the archbishop's letter, I thought the parishoners were wrong and deserved what they got -- but now I see that the archbishop is being dishonest in his letter. It's not about submission to him or the diocese -- it's about closing a parish...plain and simple.

Closing a parish is NEVER "plain and simple."

You couldn't be more wrong. The other side of the story is always the STL Post Dispatch, Liberal Rag that it is, villianizing the Archbishop. He didn't start this with St. Stanislaus, Then Archbishop (now Cardinal) Rigali began this process and it has been a work in progress with the Archbishop leading the way to reconciliation the entire time and having only the true Catholics from St. Stanislaus follow him away from the schismatic actions of the board.

You don't know what you're talking about.
